Bike For Sale

This is how my motocross bike has sat for a few years. The gear box went on it. So i finaly pulled the finger out and got another from eBay. It took Stew from Ecosse Motocross a couple of days to fit it back into the engine.

M.X bits have been lying about the house for a while now.

I thaught i'd give the frame a paint while the engine was out. So it's turned into a complete stripdown and rebuild.....Great....

Guess i should fix that hole thats in the crankcase as well. So its off to B&Q for some liquid METAL!

remnants of a thrown chain.

Sand.

Prime.

Paint.

Rebuild.
Steve at Hillend let me use his horkshop and tools for getting the new rear suspention bearings in.

Yea, thats right the wee box there that the linkage bearings came in says 52 fookin quid. I had to get anothe one of these for the shock bearings. Just aswell Ecosse Stu let me use my knackered gearbox as trade.

Swingarm and front forks on......
Starting to look sick on the stand.

Then the engine, Air box, Radiator ......

And then the rest of the plastics......
DONE !

Wheels Of Fire

This week was full of wee miracles. First of, Amy was born. She came on the second day of my bike course, which was a 4 day thing. The second was that the bike course got nailed with 1 day 2hrs training.

So as a big congrats from Stevie from my work he let me loose on his Fireblade for the day. Total pride and joy.

1000cc, power commander and an Acrapovic can.
Rapido.

Rusty was along for the ride. He was getting his lean on on the bridges.

Rustys supermoto creates so much vibration, he has to stop to empty his bladder every 15 miles. His fuel tank aint much better. This stop he had to switch to the reserve. We ended up in Galashiels for a pitstop.

On the way back we hit up roads that took us into the middle of nowhere....long straights with only sheep to dodge.

We eventually made it back an hour over time. Stevie was glad to be gettin them keys back from me rather than picking them out a hedge somewhere. One of the best rides i've had. You'll be out next time. Once i get my steed (hopefully summer wont be over) Cant say thanks enough man ,Cheers bro.
